I recently had a chat with an individual with whom I have been conducting business with on an entirety pro bono basis. Said individual remains suspicious of me despite the fact that I’ve offered nothing but support and solid information to, and so it leads to this post.
If you wish for me to work closely with you, unless we have a prior understanding, for reasons of basic economy and survival, I will need to charge a retainer – this can vary from individual to individual and circumstance to circumstance, but for legal reasons, it is essential, as is the signing of a my tually agreed upon non-disclosure agreement.
Aside from the fact that sensitive data may or may not be discussed, the nature of my work means possible infringement of others’ privacy and I will not be a party to this without adequate contractual contingencies.
