I ran into a representative from Doctors Without Borders on my way after buying luggage tags and locks for my trip to Washington DC next month. 
He was entirely charming and it was a real delight to talk to someone whose as passionate about human rights as I am, and he encouraged me to talk about my blog, and I asked about possibly speaking to their press person.

I started a small monthly contribution to their fund for something called plumpynut, which is basically an MRE specifically formulated for malnourished children.
